Job description

It's Wednesday afternoon and you're leading a group of eight people who first met three hours ago through a GPS trail in the hills. They bicker enthusiastically about which trail to take, and someone already has an inside joke. By the time you get back to the park, they have become a group. Thanks to you.

This is the role of outdoor activities supervisor at a vacation park, and it's as varied as it sounds. One morning you'll set up archery and guide someone through their first shot. In the afternoon, you go mountain biking at your employer's expense, followed by a group game where everyone ends up with grass on their clothes. No two days are the same, and that's exactly the point. The park is looking for a sporty, driven person who can lead all these activities with energy and a real passion for being outdoors.

You'll work a minimum of four weeks, starting the second week of July. That's enough time to really land, get to know regulars and feel part of the team rather than just someone who stops by. Do you have a background in scouting, youth work, outdoor education, or just already do this kind of thing on your days off? Then read on. 🏹

What you bring

  • Genuine enthusiasm for outdoor activities, at least one of archery, mountain biking, GPS navigation, or group games should feel like home territory
  • Experience working with groups, whether through scouting, youth work, sports clubs, outdoor education, or something similar
  • A safety-first attitude that doesn't get in the way of a good time, you know when to be careful and how to keep people confident
  • Energy and physical fitness for a role that keeps you moving outdoors all day
  • The ability to read a group quickly and adjust your approach accordingly
  • Availability from the second week of July for a minimum of four weeks
  • Good communication skills in at least one of Dutch, German, or English

What you do

  • Lead outdoor activity sessions including archery, GPS trail navigation, mountain biking, and group games for campsite guests
  • Set up and prepare activity equipment before sessions so everything runs smoothly from the start
  • Adapt activities to the group in front of you, whether that's families with kids, groups of teenagers, or adult guests
  • Keep safety front of mind throughout every session without letting it kill the energy
  • Build rapport with returning guests over the course of the season and help them get the most out of their stay
  • Step in to help with other campsite activity programming when needed

What you get

  • A seasonal job where your working day involves archery, mountain biking, GPS trails, and group games, not a desk
  • A minimum four-week contract from mid-July, with the option to stay longer
  • The chance to properly settle in, build relationships with guests, and feel like a genuine part of the team
  • A role that suits your CV if you're building experience in outdoor education, sports coaching, or youth work
  • Time outdoors every single day in a campsite setting with a real community around you
